What should I
ask for my home?
Find out what homes have been selling for
in your area. Compare your home
with the sold homes, i.e. # of bedrooms,
bathrooms, square footage. Come up
with a reasonable amount to ask for your
home. You might consider asking a
little higher at first. You can
always counter-offer someone's asking
price. You can also reduce your asking
price after a few months if you feel it
will not sell at the current price.
It is always better to start a little
higher than too low.
How do I
advertise?
Using the sign we provide with
flyers, will generate an adequate amount
of potential buyers. We average 10
sheets per week that are taken from
potential buyers. If you want to
advertise too, simply use your local
newspapers and run any size ad.

When do I show
my home?
This is the
luxury of selling your home by owner,
you are IN CONTROL. You set the
appointments whenever YOU are ready.
So you say you have small children and
just aren't able to show it whenever
someone calls? Dedicate one
particular day of the week for all your
showings so you are not constantly
keeping the home in perfect shape.
How do I get a
contract?
Check around and compare prices.
Call a local title company and ask for
their lawyer. If they have a
lawyer on hand, you have two items taken
care of. You can use this lawyer
for the contract and also close the deal
in the same building. If your
title company does not offer this,
contact a local lawyer. A contract
will be drawn up to fit your needs as
well as your prospective buyer.

How large can an image be?
We prefer that you upload photos in JPG format. If you're
scanning them yourself, you'll get best results by scanning a
typical 3x5 inch or 4x6 inch photograph at 72 dpi. The maximum
permitted size is 576 pixels wide, 432 pixels high and 100K in
size.
